I’d think that a big thank you should go out to all who gave freely of their time on Saturday to leave a lasting (and personalised) mark on punter’s copies of Kings Way. It was a simply outstanding afternoon. It’s just a pity that these three, select, happy snaps don’t adequately capture the mood (no aggro, attitude or tough-guy posturing) or the feeling of overall, genuine positivity from all who attended.
If just the one more photo was to be added, I’d highly recommend Peril and his throwback attire. Sporting an all maroon Kangol/Adidas/Fat laced Puma (all that was missing was a pair of fat ass Cazals) get-up, you couldn’t miss him if you tried. It’s a pity that so few still have the balls and confidence to rock this truly old school look. A retro ‘Back in the day’ moment? That day was Saturday July 4th 2009, and it’s a look that’s still as fresh now as it was 25 odd years ago.
This is the Miegunyah Press general edition of the book. It comes wrapped in a fold out poster made up of old school b-boys. For more general edition images here.
