ReplyDeleteMind Blowing...
ReplyDeleteAfter days on end hassling Dom and Pete at Melbourne's This Is It with- “Is it in yet” calls (hoping the shipment may arrive early)I stalked the shop this morn like a man possessed. Finally the new ‘bible’ arrived and Dom carefully unpackaged and hand wrapped my very own copy to set off home with. I had been fortunate enough to snare a glimpse at a hard copy a couple weeks previous but didn’t want to spoil the end to end extravaganza, so managed to refrain from much investigation til I copped the official release.
From the moment I opened the front cover I was transported to another space and time and transfixed on each page as I turned them like a kid living through his hero’s adventures in a favorite comic. It sent me back to the same feeling I got when I first laid eyes on Subway Art.
Unable to put it down til I somehow got to the end. The enormity of content, attention to detail, and comprehensive coverage hit like a tonne of railway rocks and I realized it will take weeks to absorb and take in as I re-read each line and re-examine each masterpiece.
Immense props and thankyou to you guys for the obvious ridiculous amount of blood, sweat and years constructing the release and making it happen, to the many Kings who’s incredible works grace the pages and to the other bit players that contributed to making the movement what it was/ is.
Cheers

Can you get Zac Efron to play me when you make the movie thanx, DJ BREEZ:)
ReplyDeleteDJ Breez needs to get out on a Saturday PUMA Clyde and Basket hunting mission with the Orgazmatron and I.
ReplyDeleteIf he materializes, I'll arrange a personally signed and suggestively posing Zac Efron glossy photo for him, which can then be sold on Ebay to a teen girl from Minnesota (who is really a balding, middle aged, accountant from Caulfield) for a minimum of US $1000. This sum can then be reinvested in either vinyl or the commission of a new piece from GS38 opposite the Elsternwick train station.
amazingly awesome - so thorough - so many great pix - total gold
ReplyDeleteHAHA,I'll see you soon Bej. P.S. I think GS38 is out of my price range these days. (Oh yeah, great job with the book Marty, Duro and Karl.)
