This is now, that was then... The Dynamic Force breakers from Melbourne's outer Northern suburbs rocked up to the recent Melbourne Writers Festival. We've fished out their Fabulous 4 burner from 84/85'. The boys reassured us that they've still got the moves, let's get out the lino for some boppin' & poppin'!

ReplyDeleteDynamic Four vs Energy Transfer 2009 Style....I needs it man !
ReplyDeleteYou don't need hair to bust a move.
ReplyDeleteOh shit I just remember these dudes, PLEASE DONT STOP THIS BLOG, this book and blog has bought back some of the fondest memories of my life, Very tempted to pick up a can again and hit a wall for ol times sake ha ha, Peace to Kingsway Crew, True Melburn KINGS 84-200??????
ReplyDeleteDynamic Force? Lot of writers claiming this piece from the past! Mid '85 out front of Central Station records, city square, seem to remember a pretty big bust up with several writers claiming Fab 4 as their own. Lots of photos and stories, someone called DVS and the back story about the four characters. So who is the real writer of Fab 4...cant see Dynamic Force anywhere on the piece? Is that Spiderman the same character as in Spiderman 3...like 20 years later? Where did he come from? Forget the lino here is where the real battle begins for Fab 4!!!!! Bring on the proof.
ReplyDeletethese guys are the real deal-had plenty of moves, and the pieces (Yes-including this one)were burners for the line at the time-if you knew the guys names youd pick them out around the piece-as a local bboy at the time-i remember them as very proud of this and other fresh`n`funky pieces in the area...get the lino out boys...if only for fun
ReplyDeleteanyone who remembers Fab 4 must be nearly 40 years old by now and would also remember the old Marvel comic book "secret wars"circa 1984-85 with Spider man getting the black symbiote suit.....and by the way its Poppin and Lockin not Boppin...thats for the guys that couldnt dance. DVS doing Fab4 more like NVS. That was a long time ago but good to hear people still talking about it.
ReplyDeleteYeah.. these dudes just showed up out of nowhere after 25 + years and decided to claim the Fabulous Four, even though they probably didn't do it.. fuck some people are stupid > Of course Dynamic force did it dickhead. They also did the fresh'n'funky and were one of the first real OG Hurstbridge writing teams. Not like some other 'Breakers' laying claim to being the 'original kings of the line' when crews like this blazed the line years before them... Suckers better know

ReplyDeleteIm postive NO ONE, not even the four pictured above can prove that they were the original authors of Fab 4 and in truth it doesnt really matter. Why? Well there isnt anyone out there thats actually claiming the piece as their own work. Perhaps there might have been some folk claiming the piece 'back in the day' but those days are LONG gone. Not convinced? Well then, I DARE anyone who has a counter claim to come forward with something approaching a credible story. Anyone....anyone? Enough said.
ReplyDeleteif this dudes so sure of himself then why does he hide behind an anonymous name????????????????????????
ReplyDeleteHmmm, odd. What does my identity have to do with the facts? Where's a challenger for authorship to Fab 4? Nowhere. But can Dynamic Force prove it was their piece? Nope. Them there are the facts...so help me God.
ReplyDeleteCome on, why are we even arguing? We all know the original Dynamic Force were the geniuses named Dicko VR, Nicko VR, Rambo VR and Stack Dad VR from Greensborough Station back in the day ! They tried to smash our Ghetto blaster and snatch our TMT tapes..we showed them dumb Gumbies !!!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA I REMEMBER RAMBO FROM G'BORO' STATION!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd have forgotten if you didn't mention him...whoever you may be anonymous dude.
Hey Anonymous commenter above....It's Duplomatic from the H-B's ! I'll never forget the day Rambo VR came out flexing his nuts at Banish and Smear..pushing them around and you know what he said? "What's dis Rocky shit you calling me?" There were massive fits of laughter after that...So then we used to call him Rocky.
ReplyDeleteOnce there was me Cask, Binder, Banish, Bler, Smear and whoever else(droppin names a bit) doing legals at Alphington in 1992.
Stupid Nicko VR comes crusing past in his busted up 1979 Honda Civic (complete with Nicko rego plates) with a fuckin video camera. The prick then starts filming us from his car going "Oh dis is boodifool...boodifool...da cops are gonna love dis". We just laughed at him and told him to fuck off. He did fuck off......to the old Fairfield CIB station. Some 20 minutes later Sgt Kringle and fat arse Sgt Taylor came over and hassled us. They said..."You guys aren't toy...but ya no Wild Childs" What a cock heads we thought. Anyway, an hour later we were heading home and Smear noticed the old RIO EA Falcon cruising up our street.."Fuck what do these pricks want?" we thought.
They were at my house when I got home and get this...they started trying to charge my brother with assault for throwing pickle onions and juice on these bogans at Watsonia station..The fags called the cops..and the RIOs somehow assumed it was us...(As if :)
So yeah, those Gumbies at Borough were real plebs !
Great days !! Fuck I am getting all sentimental. Why don't we have a blog dedicated to all the funny shit that used to go on back in the day? Writers are the funniest dudes out...so I am sure there is heaps of untold gold out there...
Anyone agree??

hahahahaha the only decent bboys i remember were the ground control from the hursty line but i shifted there in 85 so i must of been the bboy king of the line from then . why would you step up and say a piece like that was yours if it wasnt its a fab 4 not fab5 , i liked it though the gyro around the side was awesome .the fresh and funky was a bite from the freshnfunky by wicky in sa the photo was in the window of central station records .duelone ghetto rock tmm .
